Paris Day 3

Wednesday we decided to visit Versailles. We got going early to try to beat the crowds, even so the train was quite full. We visited in 2003 and this time we wanted to spend more time in the gardens. It was quite crowded in the Palace so we moved through fairly quickly. We still managed to take a few photos.

The weather was lovely so we spent a long time wandering through the gardens. It was a little disappointing because all of the fountains were turned off. I guess they were doing some maintenance. Still it was fun exploring the different groves and gardens.

After Versailles we headed back to the city and decided on a river cruise because we had done enough walking! It reminded us of all the places that we hadn’t yet visited. Lots more walking to do!

The best thing about our apartment is all the restaurants close by to choose from. We have tried a different one each night, all within about 10 minutes walk. After dinner tonight we turned a corner to come home and there was the Eiffel Tower lit up in all its glory. We have to remember to take our cameras next time we go out to tea.

  2. Great photos!

The Church have just announced a tour in November and they're playing at Tilleys. If the tickets are a decent price are you two interested in coming? Also, Scott's thinking about going to see U2 in December. If he decides to go Mum, would you like us to get you a ticket for Christmas?
